Pictures taken August 17 2007.  Saddled pictures were taken on Caine's first saddling. He doesn't look too worried about it does he?  Caine is going to be a cool horse to ride. He will be started lightly under saddle as a two year old.

Pictures taken  June 22, 2007

This is Caine; he is our newest addition and future stallion. Caine is color tested: Ee AA CrCr and LWO NEGATIVE. He will never produce Black, Smoky Black or Smoky Cream offspring, regardless of the mares color.  You never have to worry about a lethal white foal so he is safe for any mare Overo or otherwise to bred to.   There is another cool thing about him; since both his parents are Dunskins (Buckskin Duns), he could be homozygous for dun factor but guaranteed to produce it 50% of the time.  We can also guarantee COLOR every time. All his get will be Palominos or Buckskins, with a chance of Cremello or Perlino when bred to mares with a cream gene.  Come see our awesome stallion who guarantees to put the cream on his crop and add dun factor some of the time too!

Other colors are possible if the mare provides the right genes… Call or email me and we will see what wonderful colors and beautiful pedigrees we can create together!

Note: in the middle column of pictures, the picture on the far right you can see his creamed out dorsal stripe. The black spot is a smudge on the camera lens.

For more information and/or breeding contracts please call or email us at 250-428-3568 or zephyrhorses@shaw.ca

We bought Caine from Sunquest Farms of Eskridge KS as a 2 month old foal. At weaning time a good friend of ours in MO, so graciously made this possible for us by picking him up and caring for him until we could arrange hauling. Without Janelle's help it wouldn't have been possible for us to get this colt. THANKS Janelle!

Caine finally stepped off the trailer on Nov 1/06 here in Creston. What a mind this guy has, he just stood there for these pictures (above) casually looking around. Later that afternoon he came in the barn with the other colts for his grain and walked right into the tie stall like he had been doing it his whole life. He has a baby doll head, beautiful neck that ties into a nice shoulder and a deep long hip with telephone polls for legs.. He is going to be big and stout and our new head horse prospect!

There are no hole's in this guys pedigree, both his sire and dam are point earners who are out of point earners, who are out of point earners, who are..... well you get the point. He's not your typical back yard bred double dilute, he has a pedigree that backs up his color and build.

Check back for frequent up-dates on Caine!
